Our Philosophy

Ancient Influence

Our homage to yin yang reflects a radically changed world in which a whole new set of asset classes must be considered and measured in assessing an organisation’s health and wealth. Tangible Assets and Intangible Value must be balanced , complementary – and accounted for — within a greater whole. We are all familiar with the items that appear under the Tangible Assets side of today’s balance sheet but now they must be interconnected and interdependent with the elements that make up Intangible Value –some of which may be less familiar but which are no less valuable or real.

Increasingly, technology allows us to measure and analyse the value of intangibles and it is now indisputable that its assets are primary contributors to the overall value of a company. So it follows that companies must consider their tangible and intangible assets in equal balance and of equal importance; one without the other is unsustainable. It is simply good business management in a changed and changing world. More than anything, it calls for a commitment to relationships and true engagement with customers, employees, the media, and all constituent stakeholders to ensure that both the tangible and intangible are considered in both financial and reputational terms.

Our Philosophy

In the same way that the name WATATAWA was drawn from the need for organisations today to behave with transparency and integrity, our logo was inspired by the wise words of Abraham Lincoln—who long ago recognised that actions and words were indivisible; that reputation will always be a reflection of reality.

Our goal is to work with clients who accept that, ultimately, this is how they will be judged and, if necessary, are prepared to take significant tangible actions to ensure that the reputation “shadow” they cast is an accurate and admirable representation of their structure and culture.
